Weather stripping is an important mechanism in today's automobiles as it keeps out wind, water, and snow while providing a tight seal between your window and door. Window vents are one area of a car in which the outside elements can sometimes infiltrate if they are not sufficiently sealed.

Just like all vehicles on the road, the Safari is equipped with weather stripping surrounding all of the doors and windows. After several years the weather stripping can become cracked and deteriorated, necessitating its replacement. Then how to replace the weather strip seal ?

Firstly , Open the driver's side door and starting at the top right corner of the door jam, pull the weather stripping away from the door jam and cut it in half with the razor blade.Pull the weather stripping away from the door jam all the way around the perimeter of the door. Use the razor blade to cut stubborn parts of the stripping from around the door. And make sure all of the extra adhesive is removed from the door jam and then begin installing the new weatherstripping. Pull the adhesive backing off of the new weather stripping and begin gluing it into the frame of the door. At last , allow 15 to 20 minutes for the adhesive to dry and then close the door.
